Portrait Photography
I create portraits using a 4x5 large format Toyo view camera—the same type of camera used by masters like Ansel Adams. Every image is hand-developed in the darkroom as a photo negative on paper, giving your portraits a timeless, handcrafted quality that digital photography can’t replicate.
What’s Included
Each portrait session starts at **$150 per person** and includes:
- A planning meeting (in-person or virtual) to discuss your vision
- The photo shoot itself
- 5 photos to choose from
- Your finished image scanned, edited, and delivered digitally
Location Options
Studio Sessions – My Oak Park, IL studio is available Friday and Saturday mornings by appointment (before noon). No travel fees.
On Location– I can shoot at your home, at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, or outdoors. Travel fees apply for locations outside the studio.

- Physical Prints – Real 4x5 contact prints on photo paper (8x10 size available)
- Additional People – Add family members or friends to your session

Live Event Art
Add a unique, interactive element to your wedding, party, corporate event, or celebration. I set up my mobile art station and create quick, vibrant portraits of your guests using markers, watercolors, and a camera lucida for accuracy.
What to Expect
- Fast & Engaging – Each portrait takes just a few minutes using bold strokes and bright colors
- Minimal Space Needed – About 5 square feet near a good light source
- Quick Setup – I arrive with everything on a mobile cart and am ready to go in moments

Booking
Private events start at **$150**. I’m also available at public art events for tips (no payment required).
